The Pure Aero 98's tighter 16×20 pattern and aerodynamic design help lift the ball and create penetrating, rotating shots from the baseline, with a feel that is softer and more connected than earlier versions thanks to updated layup and flax-based vibration dampening (but still crisp). The 98 sq in head offers increased accuracy without sacrificing the signature spin characteristic of the Pure Aero family.  On serves, the frame produces ample pace and variety, making both aggressive first serves and high-kick second serves effective tools. Groundstrokes come off cleanly with stable response, and the steadier feel through impact encourages confidence when taking the ball early or swinging big from the baseline. Precision is noticeable, and the combination of controlled power and spin helps keep opponents deep and defensive.  At net and in transition, the Pure Aero 98 stays stable and reliable, though its weight and balance mean it isn’t the most maneuverable around the body compared with lighter players’ rackets. Comfort is improved over its predecessor, but the frame still has a firm response that rewards crisp contact. It is best suited to intermediate to advanced players who can generate racquet head speed and want a racket that blends modern spin performance with command and consistency.
